Los Angeles – January 26, 2010 – “True Jackson VP” star Ashley Argota will be the headlining act at the B.I.G (Believe In Girls) Expo concert on January 30, 2010 at the Ontario Convention Center from 10am – 6pm (PT). The “Believe in Girls Expo”, formerly known as, “Girlfest”, is an exciting all day event with an all star line up of guest talent and speakers that attracts thousands of kids from the Los Angeles area and will showcase some of the dynamite Girl Scout programming that you won’t find anywhere else. With more than 70,000 square feet of activity booths for all ages, a special surprise keynote speaker, vendors, exhibitors, breakout sessions, programming areas, cookie rally booths and activities, and plenty of fun, The Believe in Girls Expo is a B.I.G. deal! Ashley will be one of fifteen acts performing during the day, but she will be the signature headlining act to come on at noon.
At the tender age of nine where she wowed at the legendary Apollo Theater in New York during one of their amateur night contests where she beat out over 200 aspiring entertainers. At that moment, her career was launched and she was immediately asked to appear on the hit show, “Showtime at the Apollo” as the “Star of Tomorrow.” After that, Ashley was on a roll and she landed a lead role in the stage production of The Lion King where she traveled with fellow cast members around the country performing to sell-out audiences and standing ovations. Ashley was also a crowd favorite on the TV show “Star Search 2003” hosted by comedian Ben Stein. Ashley stole the show and was praised for having such a commanding stage performance for someone so young. She went on to place second in the semi-finals. From there she went on to showcase her singing abilities in such plays as American Girl and Carousel.

- School Gyrls the movie will premiere on Nickelodeon Sunday, Feb 21st at 7PM ET/PT
School Gyrls who’s made for TV original movie entitled “School Gyrls” will premiere on Nickelodeon on Sunday, February 21st and will centers entirely around the three teen stars and features cameos from Reverend Run, Justin Bieber, Kristinia DeBarge, Soulja Boy, Angie Stone, Pete Wentz and others. The movie was written and directed by Nick Cannon and will repeat on Teen Nick and Nickelodeon networks. Signed to Nick Cannon’s NCredible Entertainment, the group is composed of Mandy Rain (15), Jacque Rae Pyles, pronounced “Jackie,” (15) and Monica Parales (16). These three pint-sized pop stars pack major charisma and talent into an adorable adolescent package! The Gyrls first single Something Like A Party (attached) will hit all the major air waves on February 2nd and their self-titled first album School Gyrls will hit stores and online on March 23, 2010 on the Island Def Jam label.

In addition, the Gyrls have a series of books coming out for tween/teens published by Simon & Schuster. The first one will be released in February. To round everything up, the Gyrls have their very own comic book on Archie comics (attached). The digital release date is TBD, but they are already #1 on ITunes for digital comic distribution and anticipate about 300,000 downloads and the actual comic will newsstands and comic book shops in March 2010.
Jasmine Villegas, Sony Epic’s newest recording artist!
Dynamic, stunning, and powerful are just a few words to describe Sony Epic’s newest recording artist, sixteen year old Jasmine Villegas, know to her fans as Jasmine V, this talented teen is about to set the music world on fire!
No stranger to the business Jasmine has been entertaining people since the tender age of four when she discovered her talent for singing and would perform at all family functions. Even at four years old everyone could tell Jasmine was special when they were knocked out by the power in the little dynamos voice. When Jasmine was seven years old she won a singing contest at a Hawaiian Tropics contest in San Jose, California. Jasmine was discovered at age eleven when a guy heard her singing while she was walking down the street. He was so impressed that he took her to meet his friend who was interning at Damon Dash Music Group and had her sing for him. He was so impressed that he had her sing for his boss Gabriella Mosci who worked for producer and music extraordinaire, Damon Dash. Gabriella saw something extremely special in Jasmine and decided to manager her. Jasmine began honing her skills in music and acting and was booking jobs in those fields by the age of ten landing her first acting job in a commercial for the hit animated feature The Land Before The Time. It wasn’t before long that this San Jose native was landing her first professional singing gig at age eleven when she performed the National Anthem for the Los Angeles Clippers.
With a work ethic that would rival a hundred steel workers, Jasmine who has been home-schooled since the third grade began touring at age eleven and in the past 4 ½ years has performed in over 400 shows across country and overseas. She is an extremely seasoned performer and also devotes a lot of her time giving back to the community. She has performed for educational school assembly programs across the country. She has also worked with LA’s Best, a non-profit after school program to perform at 100 elementary schools in the Los Angeles area. She also works closely with other children’s non-profit organizations such as the Geffen Playhouse, Big Brother Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Club of America, Special Olympics, and Aspira Foster Care.

Keith Robinson is Next Guest on The Rob Redstone Show!

Talented, dynamic, forceful, these are just a few words that describe actor/singer/songwriter Keith Robinson. Keith can next be seen a in a strong supporting role in the Sony Screen Gems war/drama/romance, Dear John. The film stars Channing Tatum and is directed by Lasse Hallstrom (What’s Eating Gilbert Grape). The film is about a soldier in the United States Army who receives a Dear John letter from his true love while away on duty. In the film, Keith plays “Captain Stone.” The film will be released February 5, 2010.
When Robinson is not on set, he’s in the recording studio working on his first solo album, Utopia. Keith is very excited to bring his passionate sound of soulful R&B music to his fans. Keith is currently being pursued by many major music labels in connection with the release of this much anticipated album.

Currently, Cymphonique is featured on the “Next Big Thing” on the Disney Channel, Radio Disney, and RadioDisney.com. Recently, she has finished filming three of her music videos: Lil Miss Swaggar, One Life to Love, and Butterflies.

NICKELODEON’S VICTORIA JUSTICE SIGNS WITH MUSIC MANAGER LARRY RUDOLPH

– November 20, 2009 – Victoria Justice, one of the hottest rising teen stars in entertainment today, has signed with manager Larry Rudolph under his ReignDeer Entertainment shingle for music representation. Justice is the star of Nickelodeon’s newest comedy series, “Victorious,” a co-production between Nickelodeon and Columbia/Epic Label Group (a unit of Sony Music Entertainment). “Victorious” is created by Dan Schneider, television’s #1 consistent hit-maker in the kid/tween/teen market. Schneider is responsible for the hit shows “Zoey 101,” “iCarly,” “Drake & Josh,” “The Amanda Show,” “What I Like About You,” “Kenan & Kel”, and “All That.” A perfect vehicle for the multi-talented Justice, “Victorious” follows Tori Vega (Justice) a teen who unexpectedly finds herself navigating life at an elite performing arts high school.
